100% Arabica

Namisuni is a 100% Arabica coffee from the Mount Elgon region in eastern Uganda, where coffee grows on the slopes of the extinct volcano in fertile, nutrient-rich soil.

The SL14 and SL28 varieties are grown at altitudes between 1.800 and 2.100 metres, processed using the natural method and dried on raised beds. This coffee is roasted for espresso and rated at 86,5 SCA points.

In the cup, it has a distinctly fruity profile, with notes of strawberry and brown sugar.

Namisuni means “the place of the throwing sticks”, a name that refers to the local tradition of throwing sticks to knock ripe fruit from the highest branches.
