“Americano” coffee

Hi, I’m Massimo and today I will explain what Americano Coffee really is!

Caffè Americano is often confused with filter coffee, particularly in Italy.
In fact, they are two very different things, prepared in different ways and using totally different coffees.
So when you go to your favourite coffee shop and order your Caffè Americano, what you’re looking for, in a way, is a flavour that reminds you of coffee from a moka pot.
How do you ask for that?
A Caffè Americano can be prepared using a single or double espresso, as the customer prefers, and
served with a jug of hot water.
It is important that the water you are served on the side does not come directly from the espresso machine boiler but is instead prepared using a kettle.
These are the simple rules: when you go to your favourite coffee shop, you know what to do!
