Single origin vs single estate

Hi, I’m Enrico from “Le Piantagioni del Caffè” and I will explain the wording ‘single origin’ that now can be found on many labels.

The wording ‘single origin’ tells absolutely nothing, it just tells us from which country the coffee comes from. It is the same as if a wine producer wrote that some wine comes from Italy without saying anything else.
It would be unacceptable in the wine industry!
When we say that this wording doesn’t guarantee anything, neither quality neither traceability, we invite you to be wary of any product that bears it because it is not a guarantee of quality.
