African Beds

African beds (or African drying beds) are raised, mesh-bottomed wooden or metal frames used for drying coffee cherries or parchment. By allowing air to circulate above and below the coffee, they ensure more even drying, prevent fermentation defects, and improve quality compared to drying on the ground.
