Pods
A single-serve coffee packaging system.
The term mainly refers to the E.S.E. (Espresso Service System) invented by Illy in the 1970s.
Each pod consists of a pair of rice-paper filters, joined together, that hold 7.5 grams of ground and pressed coffee.
