Always remember that if you heat your devices you will have more\u00a0thermal stability and less heat loss during brewing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">Now I will grind 36 grams of coffee per half a liter of water.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">The grind for this method is a bit coarser, like sea salt, than other methods such as v60\u00a0and Chemex which require a percolation phase.<br>A larger grind is needed precisely\u00a0because it is an immersion method that brews more solids and the brewing time is around\u00a05 minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">\u00a0Whilst a fine grind would brew the most bitter parts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">Let\u2019s open the jug and check the weight of the ground coffee. Now, wait for the water to go\u00a0back to a temperature of 92 degrees and then we will be ready to brew.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">Distribuiamo il macinato e adesso facciamo partire il timer ed andiamo ad effettuare una pre-infusione, un blooming.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">Distribute the ground coffee, start the timer and let\u2019s make the pre-infusion, the blooming.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">In this case too, we can give it a little rotation and after about 30 seconds the remaining\u00a0water can be added.\u00a0Try to make spiral motions here too.<br>As in methods like Chemex and v60, the coffee will\u00a0be immersed but we still try to brew more substances with this turbulence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">Let\u2019s cover it without pushing the plunger and leave it to infuse for about 4 minutes.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\">After 4 and a half minutes we can begin to push the plunger in order to separate the\u00a0ground coffee from the drink.<br>When we are close to the end, we can remove the French\u00a0Press from the scale.<br>Now we are ready to pour our drink.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:45px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-content-justification-center is-layout-flex wp-container-core-buttons-is-layout-16018d1d wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/www.lepiantagionidelcaffe.com\/en\/disruptive-coffee-school\/how-to-make-coffee\/alternative-brewing-methods\/\">Alternative brewing methods<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hi, I\u2019m Paolo from \u201cLe Piantagioni del Caff\u00e8\u201d and in this video I will brew one of our single\u00a0plantation coffees, Alto Palomar, with French Press.
