100, the 100% Arabica blend with a surprising aromatic complexity.

When we set to work on the blend 100, our idea was to create a blend of 100% Arabica estate coffees able to become a highly complex aromatic espresso.

And so it was!

As an espresso or in a cappuccino, for breakfast or after lunch, 100 is a coffee that you can choose to drink in many different ways and at any time. It’s a sophisticated product meant to offer a blend of a 100% Arabica estate coffee.

In the cup, you will find a remarkable aromatic complexity and a light hint of acidity. It’s a delicate and smooth coffee, with a good body and a persistent aftertaste.

This blend is usually much appreciated and it is the result of a careful harvest in the fazenda Monte Alegre and of a constant research carried out at the fazenda Samambaia, both located in Brazil.

Other appreciable contributions to its flavour are given by some other peculiar coffees: the one from the finca El Hato Blue (Guatemala), where the hand picking is done twice, so that only the fully ripe cherries are chosen; the coffee grown in the mountainous foothills of the finca San Luis (El Salvador) and the coffee from the Sidamo region (Ethiopia) that, like no other, represents the fruit of the work of several very small producers.

Why use a blend?

A blend ensures that an espresso is balanced and complete. The single estate coffees of which this blend is made are roasted separately, in order to boost the potential of each one. The blending is made at a later stage.

The crafted mix of aromas blend together, balancing and offsetting each other.

Behind the creation of a coffee blend lies a long process of research and experimentation that begins on the farm, right back in the country of origin.

Afterwards, one of the biggest challenges is to develop the expertise needed to properly blend the various types of coffee, in order to obtain a balanced product, constant over time and pleasantly aromatic.
